How to Verify a Business Account on VoguePay

Few months back, we published an article about VoguePay . This article raised a lot of questions during the course of replies by my readers. These questions are concerned with how my readers can verify their account.

Hence, those questions necessitated that i write an article on how to verify an account on VoguePay.

Now, if you have not registered an account with VoguePay, you can do so right below before we start on how to verify your account because you actually need an account before you can upgrade to a business account. Click on the image below to get started.

When you as a user registers an account with voguepay, you are automatically given a personal account. The truth is that with a personal account, you have some limitations as per the number of activities and transactions you can perform on this account especially if you are a business person or an organization who need the full functionalities of VoguePay for business transactions.

The limitation on a personal account are as follow:

1.  A personal account and all yet-to-be-verified business accounts cannot receive Interswitch Card payments directly from any customer. Such accounts can only receive payments via Visa Cards, Etranzact Cards and VoguePay Wallets

2. With a personal and yet-to-be-verified Business accounts, your personal name with be displayed to your customers during checkouts while verified business accounts will have their business names displayed to customers during checkout. I think this is going to serve as a form of branding for your business, hence more awareness about your company to your customers. This will also build trust and credibility between both parties involved in the transaction.

In verifying our personal account, it means we are upgrading our VoguePay Personal Account to a fully functional Business Account . Many things are involving if we want to achieve this. I have divided the process involved into Five Steps.

Step 1. Phone Number Verification

Step 2. Business Registration

Step 3: Fund Your Account with at least #1,000

Step 4: Submit a Ticket to VoguePay Support Department

Step 5: Upload Your Business Registration and other necessary Files

The individual steps involved are explained as follows:

Step 1. Phone Number Verification

Immediately you register an account on VoguePay, i would advise you to verify your Phone Number because without this you might not be able to upgrade your account from personal to business status.

How do i Verify My Phone Number ? This is very easy. Just follow the steps below:

Your account should look like this before its verified. Click on the link “ Not Verified. Click Here ” as directed above

Your phone number would be outputted as shown below. A message would as well be sent to the Phone number specified on your account. Enter the CODE that was sent from the step above, THEN “ Click on the Submit Button ” as shown below.

Step 2. Business Registration

One of the requirements for upgrading your account to business account on voguepay is registering your business with the Corporate Affairs Commission. This can be done as low as #20,000. Once your business registration is successful, CAC would issue your Certificate of Business Registration and one other document. The Certificate of Business Registration would be needed for the verification.

Step 3: Fund Your Account with at least #1,000

• Your VoguePay wallet balance should be greater than #1,000.00.
• Download and fill sections 1-5 of the form: Sub Merchant Account Form (Agregator name is VoguePay).
• Fill your business details (Form is shown on the right hand side) and upload the necessary documents including scanned copy of filled Sub Merchant Account Form.

Step 4: Submit a Ticket to VoguePay Support Department

In order to change your account from personal to Business and Vice-Versa, you have to submit a ticket to the General Support Department via [email protected] This is to ensure that VoguePay would be able to enable your personal account to what i called a yet-to-be-verified business accounts.

Step 5: Upload Your Business Registration Documents and other necessary Files

Once your account has been upgraded to the yet-to-be-verified business accounts, then you would be able to upload your documents. The documents are as follows:

• Certificate of Business Name Registration
• A Scanned Copy of Already Filled Sub Merchant Account Form  as explained in Step 3 above.

A non refundable fee of #1,000.00 will be deducted from your wallet for business verification and the process may take between 24 to 48 hours.

NOTE: In order to fast track your verification process, i would advise you that immediately you uploaded your documents in Step 5 above, Send another mail to VoguePay support team telling them your documents have been uploaded.

In a couple of hours, VoguePay would verify your account. Hope this helps.
